Sanjiv Mehta is the Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited which is India’s largest ‘fast moving consumer goods’ (FMCG) Company and one of the most valuable corporates in the country. Sanjiv also heads Unilever’s business in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Nepal) having a turnover of over $7 billion as President, South Asia. Sanjiv is also a member of the ‘Unilever Leadership Executive’ team.
Sanjiv has done his Bachelors in Commerce (India), Chartered Accountancy (India) and has also completed his Advanced Management Program (Harvard Business School).

He is currently Chairman and CEO of Star India and President of 21st Century Fox Asia-Pacific (Only Asia). Mr Shankar has recently been appointed Chairman, Star and Disney India and President of the Walt Disney Company, Asia-Pacific, a role that he will take over after the takeover of 21CF by Disney takes place.
A trend-setter in the media and entertainment industry for over two decades, he played a leadership role in making Star India one of the largest Media & Entertainment companies in India, reaching over 720 million viewers a month across the country and more than 100 other countries.
Mr Shankar has been a leading voice in the Indian media and broadcasting sector, shaping reforms for the industry and its consumers. As Chairman of the FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee and former President of the Indian Broadcasting Federation, he has been at the forefront of landmark changes in self-regulation and pushing access for consumers to the digitized distribution.
Mr Shankar entered media as a political journalist with The Times of India and rose to become the CEO and Editor of ‘Star News’ after’ spearheading the successful launch of country’s first 24-hour Hindi news channel ‘Aaj Tak’ in 2000, and ‘Headlines Today’ in English in 2003, as Editor and News Director of the TV Today Group.
Mr Shankar holds an M. Phil in Economic History from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. He is an avid reader and his knowledge domain transcends from literature to politics, economics and sports.

Krish has over three decades of rich experience in varied fields such as finance, marketing, retail & general management. In the field of retail, he has gained significant global experience over the last sixteen years in various countries such as Hong Kong, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan and USA in addition to India.
He joined Walmart International as a Senior Vice President in 2012. Prior to this, during his over six years’ tenure with A.S. Watson Group, a leading international health, beauty and lifestyle retailer, Krish handled the business in Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand as Country Head & Managing Director. Concurrently, for over 3 years, he served as Regional Director of Store Design and Development for Asia and Eastern Europe.
Prior to that, Krish was Managing Director and CEO of Piramyd Retail Limited. During his 7.5 years tenure, Krish was also CEO of Retail Business of Piramal Enterprises comprising of Shopping Malls, Department Stores, Supermarkets and Entertainment Centres, during this period, he was also a member of several industry associations, notable among them being the role of Founding Member of Retailers Association of India.
Krish is Chairperson of National Executive Board of AMCHAM India (American Chamber of Commerce in India), Member of Advisory Council of USIBC, Chairperson, India Food Forum, Chairperson of FICCI Retail & Internal Trade Committee, Member of FICCI National Executive Committee, Member of CII committee on MNCs, Member of the National advisory Council of RAI (Retailers Association of India), Member of National Advisory Council of Enactus India and Advisory Council Member of Smile Train India.
Krish has a Bachelor’s of Commerce (Hons.) degree from the University of Mumbai, India and is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Herjit S. Bhalla is the Managing Director of Hershey India since January 2018. In his role at Hershey, Herjit brings his extensive experience from Unilever in building consumer, food and retail brands. His in depth understanding of the FMCG business has contributed towards unleashing the growth potential of the US based snacking food giant in India.
It has been under Herjit’s leadership that Hershey India has entered the fast-growing Indian chocolate market with the launch of the iconic Hershey’s Kisses in 2018. Driving product innovation, he has also driven Hershey India’s entry into the ‘Better For You’ segment in the biscuit category with the launch of Sofit Protein Cookies.
Prior to Hershey India, Herjit had spent more than 18 years in various leadership sales, marketing and management roles at Unilever in India, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. In his last position, Herjit served on the Board of Directors with Metro Cash & Carry handling operations for North and East India.
Herjit has repeatedly demonstrated his unique proficiency in effectively leading teams, turning around and building businesses, driving employee engagement and positively impacting revenue growth.
An accomplished industry leader, Herjit currently serves as the co-chair for the FMCG committee at FICCI.

Prior to this, Shiv was Chairman and CEO for PepsiCo for four years and before that with Nokia as CEO for India and later Emerging markets for nearly a decade. Shiv has been a CEO for half his career and was one of the youngest CEOS in India. Shiv worked in HUL for a number of years, mostly in marketing. Shiv has worked with over 50 brands in his career and seen many business transformations.
Shiv writes and teaches regularly on Innovation, leadership, Followership, Business Models, Digitization etc. across the leading business schools in the world.
Shiv is an avid sports watcher, a great fan of Manchester United and Barcelona football teams, John Mc Enroe and Roger Federer in tennis.
Shiv is a believer in giving back to society. Shiv has been on the Board of Governors of IIM Ahmedabad between 2012 and 2017, he was on the Godrej Consumer products Board between 2009 and 2017. He was the president of the All India management association in 2012-2013. He is currently the Chairman of the mobile marketing association and Chairman of the Advertising standards council of India. He is currently on the board of XLRI and IIM Udaipur.
Shiv has been awarded many times in his career – Best CEO, Best brand builder, for leadership, for Turnaround etc.. The awards most dear to him are the two distinguished Alumnus awards he got from IIT madras and IIM Calcutta. He is one of twenty people in India to have distinguished alumnus awards from both IIT and IIM.

An industry veteran with over 27 years of rich experience in wholesale, retail, general management and marketing; Mr. Mediratta has worked with some of the leading Fortune 500 corporations such as Walmart, Procter & Gamble, Whirlpool and Yum! Brands.
Prior to heading METRO Cash and Carry India, Mr. Mediratta was with Walmart US, spear-heading the multi-billion dollar business for the entire US market; first as Global Officer and Vice-President for Operations (Texas ) and then as Global Officer and VP Merchandising for Fresh. Before taking up this global leadership assignment, Mr. Mediratta was the driving force behind successfully setting up Walmart’s Cash and Carry business in India and establishing 20 wholesale outlets in a record five years’ time till 2013. As the Chief Operating Officer of Walmart India, he built Walmart’s Cash and Carry India team overseeing key functions such as Buying, Merchandising, Operations, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, e-commerce, HR, Finance etc. He has been recognized globally by Walmart US for being instrumental in scripting the success story of Walmart’s Cash and Carry business in India.
Before his decade long stint at Walmart, Mr. Mediratta worked with Yum! Brand as the Chief Marketing Officer for South Asia for Pizza Hut, KFC, Tacobell and A&W in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Mauritius. He was instrumental in relaunching the brand KFC successfully in India. Prior to this, he was the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Whirlpool India and Marico India respectively. Mr. Mediratta started his career with Procter & Gamble (P&G) driving the successful brand launch of ‘Ariel’ detergent in 1991. In his decade long tenure at P&G, he worked in various challenging marketing and brand roles in India, Singapore and Bangkok.
Mr Mediratta was rated amongst ‘25 Hottest Young Executives in India’ by Business Today in 2006; ‘Top 8 Marketers in India’ by The Economic Times in 2003; ‘50 most Powerful People in Media, Advertising and Marketing in India’ by PITCH in 2004.
