An entrepreneur with a keen interest in Fashion and Art, Aditi graduated from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi. She’s been interested in how the socio–economic status of any geographical region shapes its fashion. At college, her curiosity was piqued by kids’ fashion and she went on to join Mothercare after her graduation, where working with various factories gave her insight on how Retail works.
Aditi is also concerned about the impact of the fashion industry on the environment. Humans tend to hoard, and end up buying clothes they rarely use. Therefore to her, the idea of buying and selling pre-owned fashion seemed like the perfect solution. Thus, Elanic was born.
The concept of pre-owned fashion or lifestyle products was still new to India when Elanic started and hence the biggest challenge was to remove the stigma. Since then, Elanic has seen tremendous growth in the past one and a half years, with a community close to 1 million buyers and sellers, and a catalog of close to 4 lakh products.
The way Aditi sees it, Elanic is not only a platform that makes buying and selling extremely easy, but also a force that encourages a responsible circular economy.

Ex Founder-MD Lacoste India, Founder – Barista
One of the pioneers of organised retail in India, Jayant attributes his receded hairline and his substantial collection of ulcers to having spent over two decades in the retail business. It also gave him his unconventional outlook on life and irreverent sense of humor, for how else, as he says, could anyone have survived this experience?
Educated at some of India’s leading institutions including Mayo College, Elphinstone College and Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Jayant started his career with a long stint with automobile major MAHINDRA.
He was part of an outstanding and passionate team that successfully launched the first premium brand in India – the French lifestyle label LACOSTE – and nurtured the profitable development of the brand for over a decade.
Jayant again worked with a wonderful group of young, dynamic believers who created not just an iconic brand, but an entirely new category when he conceptualized and started the pioneering chain of Espresso Bars – BARISTA, and then a chain of Health / Juice bars.
He went on to start India’s leading specialist retail consultancy with the predictably unusual name Go Fish. Their clients range from some of India’s and the world’s leading brands, to budding local entrepreneurs, and he also mentors some very exciting new retail “start-ups”.
He has also led the Images Group – a retail knowledge & media house that publishes B2B magazines and organises retail conferences like the India Retail Forum.
With his unique and rich exposure across key verticals of consumer facing businesses, Jayant is a sought after consultant, mentor, writer and speaker, and is one of the best-connected and most experienced people in Indian retail.

Marketing mind taking on new challenges
That’s perhaps the only face saving thing you can say about a homo sapien who invested time and his parents money in studying engineering, then pursued a management degree in premier institutes, but always wished to tread the unconventional path.
The opportunity arose through my work in marketing in the consumer goods and Fashion space. It was here that I scoured the interiors of India to connect with cultures. Lived and loved the people I met. Connected brands with people through the changing world of technology. The learning continues and the fires burns larger.
